Rescuing Russian cargo ship
laste
The Russian cargo ship, "Rand" (1135 gross reg tons), experienced engine problems just outside the Norwegian coast of Finnmark. This was during the night and the weather was rough. 5-7m high waves and it was snowing.

The cargo ship would have run aground within 3hours. The Norwegian Life Saving Organisation, "Redningsselskapet" was contacted with their "R/S Reidar Von Koss". They couldn't get a line to the cargo ship, so they fired Restech Norway AS's PLT. The line connection was established and they towed the cargo ship to a safe place for anchoring and repair.

The PLT was involved saving crew and ship along our long coast, again.
