Restech Norway AS, has been nominated for this year's International award, Innovation Norway's prestigious award for Norwegian entrepreneurs and innovators who achieve international success.

"Restech is an international company located in Norway," says General Manager Roger Kristensen.

Since 1989, Restech evolved from a company with one employee where Kristensen himself was involved in everything from mail collection to production. Today Restech is a company that sells line-throwers to the world's largest oil and gas companies. Our customers are Statoil, ExxonMobil, Petrobras and Shell. Several of the world's largest cruise ship owners use this as a daily working tool. Here at home it is standard equipment for the Rescue Company, "Redningsselskapet", the Navy and the Coast Guard.

"Restech Norway AS has developed a product that is very important for safety at sea. While previously used explosives to blast out the pilot lines and life lines, you can with Restech's PLT shoot out lines by compressed air. The company contributes to increasing value by this equipment which can be used for example in the oil-and gas- environments, so that one can perform operations on a much sufficient and safer way, "says Consultant Arne Kirkfjell of Innovation Norway.
