Fisherman saved by the PLT

A fisherman in his fisherboat, were thrown on a reef by a big wave. He wanted to insepct the boat, so he went on the reef. Then another big wave came.

He was thrown from the reef and out in to the sea. The sea was too rough for the rescue boat to pick him up. They fired one shot with the PLT R-230, the fisherman fastened the line around his body and was pulled to the rescue boat. This happend West of Moholmen in Andøy, Norway. The Norwegian Life Saving Organisation, "Redningsselskapet", with the rescue boat "R/S Dagfinn Paust", did the rescue operation.
